Style Your Spring Pop-Up

Join me for an extraordinary yet intimate afternoon full of vintage shopping, handmade hats, and botanical crafting! I will have dresses, separates, accessories and jewelry to help you start your spring with a huge dose of vintage pizzazz!  Peruse three racks of clothing, from boho to mod, 1930s to the 90s! With something for every body size and age!

Also participating:

Debra Shirley of Millinery Etc. will bring an array of unique, handmade head wear designs which often utilize vintage and repurposed items. She will have an array of playful hats, Kentucky Derby Fascinators and Headpieces available for purchase.

Leelee of Leelee’s Garden, a botanical artist and floral designer, will present a bouquet and terrarium bar. With Leelee’s help, make and take your vintage-flair floral bouquet or gemstone and air plant terrarium. She’ll also offer air plants, handmade wildflower necklaces and her unique vertical gardens, so you can go home with green this St. Patrick’s Day! Cost is $25/person, available at registration.

This unique arrangement is generously hosted in a dazzling Logan Square loft where homemade refreshments will be served!

Admission to Style Your Spring is Complimentary.

RareJule Vintage on Transistor Radio

I got to host a radio show this month thanks to the guy on the right! Andy, from Transistor Radio is the creator and producer of some of the best online radio programs I know, and every month, with BYOB, or Bring Your Own Beat, he invites a guest DJ to create and introduce a playlist of their favorite tracks. I also got to make an announcement about my business and its upcoming events as well as read the promotions of other creative businesses who are sponsors of his programs, which was fun and interesting. I mean, not only did I learn about Chicago’s Horrorama film festival but also discovered the challenge of saying it 3 times correctly within a 30 second spot!

As a visual content creator, I had a lot to learn about the power of sound and voice and all that goes into recording and disseminating such things. And now there is this amazing online click that allows me to share my love for both Alain Delon (yes, he is on a song I chose) AND Jethro Tull! I also feature (of course) Duran Duran, Banks, Leonard Cohen, Kate Bush, Sinead O’Connor, and James Blake, for example.
