Vintage 70s Maxi Skirt Orientalist Persian Mughal Brocade Blue Gold Metallic

Stunning, ankle length skirt cut on an A line and featuring a slit at rear center for ease of movement, it features an ornate pictorial scene in the Persian-Mughal tradition of painting, depicting armed warriors on horseback, and prominently a nude damsel seemingly encountering anarcher (Archana rejecting the advances of nymph Urvashi? Or Rama and demoness Surpanakha? Perhaps Shiva and Mohini?). There are also peacocks in lush forests, etc. Unlined, it has a waistline delineated in a twisted braid of black and gold beaded trim. Closes with a zipper down the center back.
