50s Tiki Play Suit Red Cotton Print Tunic + Top by Nani of Hawaii
Very rare and superb example of the tiki craze of the 1950s, this two piece set features a long, tunic style top and matching, capri length pants.
The top has a notched, mandarin collar, capped sleeves, and long slits at the side for ease of movement. Featuring a bloused bodice, it closes down the front top portion with metallic buttons embossed with Asian pictographs.
The matching pants are high waisted and taper at the claves. Closure is a zipper at center rear.
Both pieces are unlined.
Note the gorgeous red cotton print with gold and ivory print in abstract, orientalist style gold graphics!

Fabric: no tag / looks and feels like pure cotton
Size tag: none / fits like a US ladies small to medium as the top is more a medium and the pants would fit a small better / see exact measurements below to ensure fit
Condition: very good with no visible issues other than a very faint stain at the bottom of the right leg front of the pants. Very hard to spot unless pointed out in direct light, garment laid flat. See pic for details.
