1910s Black Day Dress Long Sleeves Pleated Cotton Edwardian M
Rare example of a black day dress from the first decade of the 20th century, this beauty pulls on overhead and features a high neckline, long sleeves, and a loose, smock like silhouette that can be tied with the matching sash tie at the rear, to bring it closer to the body. It might be meant for maternity wear.
Neck is trimmed in delicately folded ribbon origami and offset with a narrower band of black lace. Matching lace is found in the sleeve cuffs. Top of chest has a series of pintucks and the empire waist seam displays a series of pleats running down the center of the dress. Closure is a series of hooks down the center of the back, masked by decorative buttons.

Fabric: no tag, but feels like a dyed, natural cotton silk blend. Very soft.
