A very rare full set that is museum quality, this splendid outfit includes eight items total: Blouse, Vest, Skirt, Apron, Belt, Cap, and two Arm Bands! Fits like a modern US ladies medium (details below)

This is a traditional Slovak folk costume, known as a kroj, specifically from the Piešťany region. The kroj (plural: kroje) is a type of folk costume worn by Czechs and Slovaks, with styles varying significantly from village to village. Such costumes reached a peak of grandeur around the turn of the 20th century. This one is likely a bridal outfit it is in incredible condition, featuring handmade embroidery and ornate detailing.

Blouse - cream linen with elaborate, cutwork yellow embroidery on the sleeves., lace cuffs and ruffled collar. Smocked neckline. Closes with one snap at the throat, with opening at front shaped as a zigzag and featuring more embroidery

Condition: very good with no stains or tears. There is silk panel around the neckline with an alternating pink/yellow design that looks faded (?).

Vest - ornately embroidered black brocade with front closure in chased metal buckles in the shape of crowns hooking at the interior. Wide red satin trim at the front opening, neckline, and arm holes. Ornate silver filigree trim laces around the floral panels. Black pleated cotton design at rear bottom. Lined in coarse brown linen and decorated with red and silver trim embroidery. Black sash ties at front and long cream ties attached at rear interior to keep it in place.

Cap - cream linen with yellow and orange embroidery and open stitch work. Eyelet cutwork done in traditional geometric designs. Note the embroidered scalloped sawtooth front opening, Features a large, 3" wide ribbon in blue, floral print, silk damask, tied in a bow with long, hanging sashes.
This wedding cap bonnet is likely from the Krakovany, Piestany regions in Western Slovakia.
