Truly one of a kind piece! Clothing as art!
This is a reversible, button down vest or really the historic term for such a piece is a "jerkin". This one is oversized and with an appeal to maximalists.
One side is a combination of hand painted leather panels in black with brown scroll work along side black and white, almost harlequin patterned knit, trimmed in metallic stripe silk at the large, fold down collar , and on either side of the front opening.
The other side is all gold and silver metallic stripe silk. Both sides have hip pockets! Note the amazing buttons in white with black triangles!
Label: it doesn't have one but the original owner bought it directly from the designer and this fits with her work.
