Authentic antique Edwardian Titanic era cream silk dress circa 1910 to 1914.
Handcrafted from cream silk textile featuring intricate lace insertion panels across the square, collarless neckline. Styled with a high empire waist in horizontal pleating, contrasting nicely with the vertical pleats of the shoulder section, and the intricate gathers at the waist with features corded ribbon with an open center. Note the ankle length skirt which is decorated with outer side layers in cut along the curve of the hips, finished with long, cream silk tassels at the end. Matching waist tie belt sash completes the look.
Rear is constructed with delicate inner lining snaps and hook-and-eye closures typical of early 1910s dressmaker tailoring.
Label: Unbranded
Fabric: Silk, Lace
Size tag: None / fits like a modern US ladies small / see exact measurements below to ensure fit
Condition: Very Good with a few small imperfections: there is a smattering of a few, tiny, very light brown dots at bottom hem of skirt, and a few small ones at the right hip panel, and one at the pleated front - all of this is visible only when looked for in direct light, laid flat. Not noticeable when worn (see last 3 pics for details)
