Vintage 1940s Salzburg Austria USFA Patches Woven Fabric
Lot of two, embroidered patches form the WII era. These were worn on the shoulders of the uniforms.
1. Salzburg coat of arms with rampant lion and the red white stripes of Austria-shaped like a shield. White trim border
2. USFA (United States Forces Austria) insignia with the country's colors as a backdrop with a blue sword and olive branch overlay. Sword symbolizing military intervention, and the olive branch as a hope that the army's postwar occupation (US soldiers were there until 1955) would lead to peace.
Olive green trim border.
