Geoffrey Beene two piece evening set in black jersey with metallic gold trim, made in the USA. Black and gold was Beene's idea of drama: the color does nothing, and the details do everything.
The blouse has a small peter pan collar edged in gold, long sleeves, and a deep split neckline finished with hair-thin cords tipped in metallic hardware and tiny beads. It blouses softly over the skirt. The skirt is a full pleated maxi with the same gold trim along the waistband and a single button closure at center front.
The jersey is lightweight and semi-sheer with a fine waffle texture, and it moves. Plan on a slip or a camisole under the blouse.
