This is a Sonia Rykiel velour track suit from the late 80s or early 90s, made in France, and it's the plush, boxy, put-together kind of comfort she was known for. A row of gold logo-embossed buttons runs down the outer sleeves, which is the detail that tells you whose it is.
The top is collarless and long sleeved with a boxy cut. The pants sit on an elastic waist with slit pockets at the front hips and soft pleats below the waistband, and they run loose through the leg. Both pieces show Rykiel's signature exposed seams and are unlined. The velour is a brushed cotton blend with a velvety hand.
Note the sizing: the top is marked M and the pants are marked S, and the pants waist is small. Please check both sets of measurements.
