Vintage 20s Beaded Bag Martini Glass Design
Soft, sack like body is completely microbeaded in glass beads as popularized from France at the turn of the last century. Front features a stylized glass/goblet design with a flower at the base and at the sides. The reverse echoes this but with the cute addition of the top of the goblet (its interior so to speak), seemingly filled 9with darker, gray beads). All of this is against a sparking, deep blue, iridescent background. It opens on a hinged, metal frame whose front face features a floral and vine relief. Bottom of bag features section of looped fringe. It likely went across the entire lower, level at one point. Hand strap is a silver chain and interior features a cotton print liner (likely replacing the original silk satin). No markings.
Condition: very good and ready for use. Note the missing looped fringes at the bottom as mentioned above, and that the rear of the frame shows discoloration if pointed out directly. Likely would clean up with silver polish.
