Vintage 50s Beaded Evening Bag in White France Elaborate Scrollwork Microbeading
Gorgeous dressy bag in the microbeaded style, it has a white background with an ornate, octopus-like design of a rosette surrounded by scroll symbols in gray, pin, and ivory. The design is repeated on the rear. Top of the hinged opening is delineated in more detailed beadwork with leaf and branch motifs. Front clasp is a rounded panel of white beads surrounded by a golden metal braid. There is a long, chunky, gold chain shoulder strap to complete the look. Interior lined in cream colored satin and has a small slit pocket. Features a label "made in France".

Condition: very good with no missing beads or tears, but there are a few discolorations to small sections of the white beading here and there -- hard to spot unless pointed out in direct light (see details in the pics). Interior has a few stains as pictured. Priced accordingly.
