Headband style hat consisting of petals or leaves cut out of a shiny, lacquered, black leather. Conforms to the head thanks to the semi-flexible frame. Black veil is suspended from the front. This is a typical piece by the great Mad Hatter himself: Bes-Ben of Chicago! Interior edge is lined in black velvet, but there is no maker's label. However, this piece bears all the hallmarks of Bes-Ben's design and workmanship and has been verified as authentic by the author of the only monograph on the milliner.
