Vintage 50s Bes-Ben Hat Golden Pagoda Beaded Cone Style
A museum piece and a show stopper, to say nothing of it as a conversation starter.
Inspired by the milliner's travels in Asia comes this cone shaped cocktail hat in spiraling tiers of golden, vertical loops arranged in rows of golden arches, all in a shiny, tinsel-like trim. This is offset offset by large, plastic, disc-like beads in green and blue on the four "turned up" panels that circle the base. Then there are the jade colored elephants and Buddha figures that hang of of gold and green, beaded wires, plus tiny little stars. Sits on the head with two little hair combs. Truly exotic, iconic, and one of a kind piece.
Interior is lined with a petersham and the brand label.

Condition: very good with one small flaw in that a small loop of golden tinsel has needs to be resewn back to the frame of the hat, as seen in front left side of hat. Alternatively, you can just tuck it in when worn. Hard to spot unless pointed out. Spot it in the 9th pic.
