Vintage 50s Mid-Century Modern Brown Tortoiseshell & Clear Lucite Box Purse
So quintessentially midcentury modern, this handbag features a rich, marbled brown faux tortoiseshell base that contrasts beautifully with the crystal-clear lucite side panels. Top handle, bottom, and interior, also in the brown tortoiseshell. Closes with a hinged top lid and brass clasp. The unique, curved "cupid's bow" shape is less common and highly sought after by collectors. Unsigned/no label, but the quality is indicative of known designers like Wilardy, Llewellyn, or Myles of Miami.

Condition: Very Good pre-owned condition. Clean inside and out with minimal age-related wear or minor surface scratches consistent with age. All hardware (clasp/hinges) is in good working order. Two issues to note: there is a scuff or scratch just above the clasp, and there is a strange buckle/raised area in one of the bottom corners. Neither detracts from wearability, but priced accordingly.
