Vintage 50s Striped Fit and Flare Midi Day Dress
Features a classic fit-and-flare silhouette with a distinct horizontal and chevron stripe pattern in a combo of green, black, yellow and white, with the green dominating. The bodice is designed with a modest high neckline with a narrow V cutout at the throat, and short, fluttery cap sleeves that lead down to a defined, nipped-in waist. The skirt is gathered at the waist to create a full, voluminous shape that falls to a mid-calf length, with the stripes meeting at the center seam to create a chevron effect. Note the fun button down closure at the rigth side, in lieu of a zipper! A prime example of mid-century feminine fashion. Unlined with no tags / likely homemade.
