A singular find in the world of vintage Pucci: this 34" square silk twill scarf has been identified by the Emilio Pucci Heritage Hub in Florence as Villa Toscana, a figurative interior scene design dating to 1957–1958 — among the earliest and rarest periods of the house's history.
The print depicts a grand Tuscan interior opening onto a garden terrace: fuchsia and magenta striped silk curtains drawn back on a gilt rod, a salon wall hung with oval mirrors and gilt-framed pictures, a console table, revolving bookstand, Persian rug, and beyond the balustrade, a stand of cypress trees in the Tuscan countryside. The entire composition is framed by a chartreuse ribbon-twist border. The palette — fuchsia, acid chartreuse, lavender, and cream — is quintessential Pucci at his most assured and joyful.
