Foulard with a metallic, olive green border, this square shaped scarf features the iconic "Game" print featuring rabbits and birds. Signed Hermes, Paris at center bottom as well as H. de Linares at the side of the print.
"Gibiers", which translates to "Game Animals" was designed by the artist Henri de Linares and was first issued in 1966. It uses an earthy color palette of browns, greens, and natural tones, which varies across different issues of the scarf.
Like all Hermès carrés (squares), this scarf features hand-sewn, rolled edges, a testament to exquisite craftsmanship.
Scarves from early collections, especially from the 1960s, are highly prized for their rarity, making this a sought-after collector's item.
